Having been inspired by his work over many years with actors in New York, Mark Hudson established MSA in 1999 to make quality actor training in Manchester relevant, affordable and accessible to everyone. A former actor and two-time BAFTA Award winning BBC Producer, Mark Hudson is a renowned acting coach working with a roster of leading film, television and theatre talent.

Professional acting workshops

Our rigorous classes and workshops form a complete and comprehensive alternative to full-time drama school

MSA Foundation & Advanced Course

In an intensive set of workshops, we work with you to develop a set of tools that will help you shape your future as a professional actor

Content

Provides students aged 18 and over with a solid acting technique. Students work on Acting Techniques and Style, Voice, Physicality, Script/Scene Analysis, Rehearsal and Performance Techniques, Television Scene Study, Film Scene Study, Stage Scene Study, Audition Techniques, On Camera Audition Techniques, Career Planning and Actors in Performance Practice.

Progression

Completion of all workshops at this level is necessary to progress further at MSA

When

This is an intensive part-time set of weekly workshops run over two years in six terms at the MSA building in Manchester City Centre

Cost

The cost of each four-hour class is £40.00, paid as £160.00 every four weeks in advance. Students undertaking this course can also participate in any additional classes at the school, as and when they are available
 

All additional classes, workshops, "in conversation" sessions and producer, director, casting director and agent meets are absolutely FREE to MSA students
